At Thomas & Holloway, our team is at the heart of everything we do. With years of experience and a shared commitment to exceptional care, we take pride in creating a welcoming, relaxed environment where you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.
Each member of our team brings their own expertise, but we all share the same goal – to give you the time, attention and guidance you deserve. Whether you’re here for an eye test, new glasses or hearing support, you’ll be looked after by people who genuinely care.

Maria
Maria has been a valued member of our team since joining as an Optical Assistant in August 2001. With over two decades of experience, she is passionate about helping people see and feel their best, providing expert advice and support at every stage of their eye care journey.
Whether she’s helping you choose the perfect eyewear, answering questions about your vision, or simply making you feel comfortable during your visit, Maria is always happy to help.
Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dog, attending live music events and theatre productions, reading, and travelling whenever she gets the chance.
Phil
Phillippa is our longest-serving team member, having joined the practice in February 1991. With decades of experience and an incredible knowledge of the business, she is the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From welcoming patients at reception to managing a wide range of administrative and back-office responsibilities, Phillippa is the organisational heart of the practice and always helps keep the team on track.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, as well as walking, reading, swimming, going to the gym, and baking –especially her much-loved carrot cake, which has become something of a team favourite!
Tina
Tina joined the practice as an Optical Assistant in July 2022 and has quickly become a valued member of the team.
She enjoys building relationships with patients and takes pride in providing a warm, welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. Whether she is helping you find frames that suit your style, answering questions about your eye care, or offering reassurance during your visit, Tina is always happy to help.
When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time in her garden, having fun in a gym class and days out exploring.
Hannah
Hannah joined the practice in April 2011 and has been helping patients enjoy the best possible vision ever since. As an experienced Optical Assistant, she takes great pride in providing friendly, personalised service, whether that’s assisting with frame selection, offering practical eye care advice, or ensuring every visit is a positive experience.
Her approachable nature and attention to detail make her a valued member of the team and a familiar face to many of our patients.
Away from work, Hannah enjoys attending music festivals, cheering on her beloved Sheffield Steelers at ice hockey games, and relaxing with a good book.
Mark
Mark took over the family business in September 2012, proudly continuing the tradition established by his father. As an Optometrist with additional qualifications in Glaucoma and Medical Retina, he has a particular interest in delivering the highest standards of clinical care and helping patients maintain lifelong eye health. Alongside his work in practice, Mark has supervised optometry students at the University of Bradford and delivered educational presentations at optical conferences, reflecting his commitment to developing the profession.
He is passionate about achieving the best possible visual and ocular health outcomes for every patient and enjoys building long-term relationships with those he cares for.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys walking his dog, exploring in his campervan, and unwinding with his guitar.
